CTE Capoeiragem after years of setting up branches around the world like Switzerland, Belgium, Australia and America without forgetting those branches in Brazil the Leader, Mestre and friend Balao had an ideia of every 2 years the group getting together. For the 1st time all instructors, teachers, contramestres and some members of every single branch are going to Salvador - Bahia - Brazil where our group born to meet up the rest of the members, to understand a bit more our culture, our art and beyond that to share a good time together.

Our party was amazing with dinks, brazilian songs by our own instruments ending up with capoeira's game!! It was great. Lots of fun!

Our group is promoting a small capoeira event from 15th to 18th of September which will have Workshops , Rodas and grading done by the students from CTE Capoeiragem and groups in the city of Adelaide and others states. Teachers from Adelaide and interstate will come over to share with us what they know about this rich art form and others dance related as such maculele and samba de roda.

The CTE group is going to performance at Latino fest on Saturday 19th of june.

10h of non stop latino music, dance, food and culture.

The party starts at 12 noon to 10pm.

All proceeds aid Chile's earthquake victims .

Our performance starts at 2:30 till 3:30pm.

Zumbiacongo Capoeira Camp 2010

The event will be happening from Friday the 4^th of June to Sunday the 6^th of June. The group will be hosting various workshops covering all the different aspects of Capoeira and the Brazilian culture such as the history, music, acrobatics, dance, martial art, maculele and much more

The camp will be opened to students and teachers from different capoeira groups to enhance the spirit of Capoeira Community in Australia. Zambiacongo wishes to bring together students and teachers from the Group, but also guest schools from all around Australia for an intensive weekend of training. Our aim is to share, develop and improve our skills, knowledge and passion for Capoeira.

The venue this year will be ‘Byron Bay Primary School’ which you can find at the following address: 17 Kingsley St. Byron Bay.

The arrival time is on Friday the 4^th of June at 8pm.

The workshops will run Friday night, Saturday morning, afternoon and evening, and Sunday morning; ending with a big roda on Sunday afternoon on the beach.

The workshops will be conducted by Zambiacongo and a guest teacher “Contra Mestre Nei Boa Morte” from Filhos da Bahia in Sydney!!!

Investment for the whole weekend:

ü $90 if paid by the 15^th of May,

ü $110 if paid by the 22^st of May and,

ü $120 if paid by the 4th of June.

Ø The following package includes: access to all workshops and capoeira t-shirt.

The group Muzenza in Melbourne has done a big capoeira party for over a week with workshops, grading, a cd recording and lots of fun!!! Lorem, the graduated student responsible for bringing to Australia his master "Saldado" who currently lives in Europe and taught Lorem this fabulous art form!! Lorem had also invited quite a few different groups from around the country to enrich his event with different styles such as Mestre Cicatriz and Instrutor Tata who belong to Sinha Capoeira in Sydney, Professor Carocol who belongs to Zumbiacongo in Brisbane, Instructor Julia from Sydney, graduated student Vira Lata from Ginga Mundo Melbourne, Professor Marcelinho CTE Capoeiragem (Adelaide) and others.

Our group in Salvador, Bahia is looking forward to one more international event which will bring to Brazil many Mestres, Contramestres, Professores and Students from abroad as well many local and interstate capoeiristas to make our grading party even more beautiful. Oz Capoeira Association is proud to present the "second Victoria Capoeira Open (VCO). The VCO aims to bring capoeiristas together from different Australian states to socialise and have new experiences and develop skills and knowledge. Another aim is to build and develop unity in the capoeira community in a bi-yearly events.During the three days different workshops will be presented by a variety of tutors for capoeiristas to learn and share their knowledge. There will be competitions of Rhythm and Capoeira Championship. The goal is for many individuals to be involved in a positive and supportive capoeira competition.

Hi everyone!!

The Group CTE Capoeiragem Australia is promoting an excited capoeira event with all capoeiristas of Adelaide. The main ideia is a berimbau course with several rithims as Sao Bento Pequeno da Angola, Angola, Sao Bento Grande da Angola, Banguela, Sao bento Grande de Bimba or Regional, Cavalaria, and Santa Maria or The capoeira anthem. On this course will be praticed around 40 songs as well.

Starting date 05/07/09.

The course will take place at LaBomba Studio at 194 wright St .

The course will take 3 Sundays. from 3pm to 5pm.

Every Sunday afterhours we gonna have a big roda.

Capoeira Class for kids from YWCA

On 25th of april we had capoeira class with kids in need from YWCA. Everyone had fun playing instruments, singing and learning basics steps with professor Marcelinho.

Members of the YWCA and some students of CTE capoeiragem helped a lot getting the kids envolved becoming the class more enjoyable.

The YWCA has been doing good job with this kids!!!! Thanks for bringing then around!! I am very happy for that

The weekend of capoeira in Melbourne

The capoeira weekend was organized by OCA Oz Capoeira Association. On Friday 27th Graduado Chain (Soul Capoeira) and professor Tata (Sinha Capoeira) did workshop and everyone finalized it with a big roda on Saturday 28th Professor Marcelinho (CTE Capoeiragem) and graduado Cipo (Abada Capoeira) did their workshop what we finalized it with another big roda as well.

Muzenza's Batizado with Graduado Lorem and workshops given by Mestre Guere (Grupo Muzenza) and Contra mestre formiguinha (grupo Topazio) happened on Sunday 29th .

We had lots of fun together

CTE Capoeiragem at Festival of Happiness

Festival de la Alegria (Festival of Happiness) has been organised by members of the local Spanish speaking community within the north who recently participated in a ten week course with ArtThink a multicultural mental health education program delivered by Relationships Australia SA.

The Festival is seen as a creative and informal way to pass on information to the community regarding mental health, how it affects a person throughout their life and how it is perceived in today’s society.

We CTE Capoeiragem took part in it to show everyone that our art form can be a good source of social inclusion, working as a group, making then happier playing instruments, clapping, singing, improving their abilities and low esteem.

The Big day out in Adelaide was amazing hips of people had so much fun on there!!!

The temperature heated up 41C degrees. But everyone was enjoy it.

There were araund 10 stages, where bands played for all day

The boys from Capoeira were supported by Lipton Ice Tea, what kept them very well hydrated.

Soul Capoeira Camping 2008.

The group Soul Capoeira went camping on 28th, 29th and 30th of november at Adelaide Hills, where everyone was breathing capoeira and having a good time sharing knowlegde. The travel took 3 days with some capoeira`s workshops and others martial art as jiu jitsu, personal defence, thai boxing despite drums class and a capoeira movie. Was awesome!!!

Chan students took part in our event and everyone had fun together. It was really good!!!

We had as special guest as Beto (Abadá), Vira Lata (Ginga Mundo), Lorem (Muzenza), Sirí (Capoeiracre) and Chan (Soul Capoeira).

we have already done our frist event called "Batizado de Capoeira". In our event teachers and students from Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney were invited and professor Marcelinho`s students received their frist belt in Capoeira.
